Community Contribution

The Community Contribution Award represents an expression of gratitude on the part of Fo Guang Shan for those who have demonstrated their commitment and dedication to Buddhism, FGS. They are awarded annually to sponsor active BLIA members and devotees of the Fo Guang Shan Temples to undertake the Graduate Certificate in Humanistic Buddhism or other courses at the Nan Tien Institute as non-award students. To be considered for the award, the recipient must have contributed at least 50 hours of community work as a BLIA member or to any of the Fo Guang Shan temples.

This postgraduate course would benefit those working within Buddhist communities, or consciously-minded education/business professionals who are seeking to enhance the impact of their work. By truly understanding, sharing, and working with humanistic values in your workplace and career, you will gain the skills to develop an innovative culture of understanding, mindfulness and care within your organisation.
