Dharma Talks

In the HYEF Dharma Talk series, we bring eminent speakers from Fo Guang Shan Monastery to speak on the Buddhist Dharma in public talks, forums, and dialogues.

Buddha's Birthday Multicultural Concert 2021

On the 5th of April 2021, the HYEF collaborated with the Australia-China Institute for Arts and Culture (ACIAC) to present a unique and uplifting concert for the Buddha’s birthday. The concert successfully established a multicultural environment where different communities were able to unite across music in a time of global crisis.

Special Religious Education (SRE)

Hsing Yun Education Foundation supports the Buddhist Council of NSW through the Special Religious Education Program (SRE).

PAL Buddhist School

HYEF provides scholarships to students of PAL Buddhist School, Australia’s first and only Buddhist school located in Western Sydney.

Buddhist Child Safe Project

HYEF promotes Child Safe and is a participant in the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian Child Safe Project; a project which aims to protect children from abuse across the implementation of national principles.

SDG2 Zero Hunger Drawing Competition

HYEF sponsored the 2021 “SDG 2 Zero Hunger” Children’s Drawing Competition; an opportunity for school-aged children to learn about the importance of food sustainability and nutrition, and reflect their concerns on both food and environmental security through the use of art.

2021 Three Acts Of Goodness Story Festival

With the aim to inculcate the value of the Three Acts of Goodness in children through the process of reading and narrating the stories in their own words and modes of expression, HYEF supports the 2021 Three Acts of Goodness Story Festival to bring children and books together and create a community that celebrates quality literature for young people.
